Million Dollar Map™ will be available for at least 5 years (starting from the day it launched), so at least until 13 October, 2020, but possibly even longer
By paying a one-time fee, your advertising can remain on Million Dollar Map™ for the rest of its lifetime (“Buy For Lifetime” plan). With the “Reserve For Free” plan you don’t have to pay up front, but your territory still can be conquered. (See more info on plans below.)

Territories on Million Dollar Map™ have been priced in on a country-by-country basis by taking into account both geographical (total land area) and economic (GDP and population) factors.
You can check the price of a territory in the ‘territory info bubble’ which pops up when you click on a given territory.
All prices indicated on the map are in USD (US dollars) and considered to be net of Value-added Tax (VAT), i.e. VAT is not included.
VAT is a tax charged on most supplies of goods or services in the European Union. We will calculate VAT based on the information you provide to us and charge it on top of the total net price of your selected territories.
WARNING: Falsification of information to evade payment of VAT may result in civil fines, criminal prosecution and getting banned from Million Dollar Map™ without receiving any refund. Buzz and Hype Llc. cooperates with law enforcement in cases involving potential falsification of information to evade payment of VAT.
As Buzz and Hype Llc. is based in the EU (Hungary), the final fees we charge our non-business users who reside in the EU will include VAT at the rate of the country where you, our customer, is based. The calculated VAT is shown separately on the form when you submit your request and on the invoice we issue. The total fee due to us is the “Total (Gross)” value. If you would like to know more about the rate of VAT of the country where you are based, please follow this link. Simply look up the column called “Standard Rate” on page 3.
If you have indicated that you are a business established in an EU country other than Hungary, and have provided us with your valid VAT identification number, we do not need to charge VAT on your fees. Your VAT identification number is the best evidence that you are a business, and no alternative evidence will be required from you. Your invoice will show your VAT identification number, and is issued net of VAT. You might be liable to self-assess VAT under your domestic rules. This is also referred to as the reverse charge mechanism.
If you have not provided us with a valid VAT identification number, Buzz and Hype Llc. is required to charge VAT at the rate of the country where you reside in accordance with the EU VAT rules for electronically supplied services.
Any Million Dollar Map™ user based in Hungary, regardless whether they are a business or not, will be charged the Hungarian VAT on their fees.
As a non-European resident user you will not be charged European VAT on your Million Dollar Map™ fees.
No refund will be granted after you submitted your request to place your logo on the map.
This holds true even for cases when due to violation of the Terms of Use you got banned from Million Dollar Map™.
If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and other details removed from the map, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and your territory might be made available to the public again.

The Contest starts on 20 October, 2015 and ends on 20 January, 2016.
Start the New Year with a bit of a boost!
The aim of the Contest is to score the lowest(!) possible ‘Total Territory Points’ (see definition below).
When selecting your 5 territories aim for those which, you believe, will be the most ‘deserted' ones, i.e. selected by the lowest number of players by the end of the Contest Period.
Individual Territory Points: By the end of the game, each territory will be assigned a point value (‘Individual Territory Points’) equal to the number of players who selected them in the Contest. This means that the more ‘deserted’ a territory is, the lower value it will have, which is great!
Example: Let’s say that the territory of Budapest, Hungary will be selected by 458 players. As a result the Individual Territory Point of Budapest will be 458
Total Territory Points: The Individual Territory Points of your 5 selected territories will be summed up, showing how many ‘Total Territory Points’ you scored. The lower this number, the better!
Example: Let’s say that the 5 territories you selected will have Individual Territory Points (i.e. the number of contestants who selected them in total, including yourself) of 13, 89, 191, 467 and 941, respectively. As a result your Total Territory Points will be 1701 (13 + 89 + 191 + 467 + 941 = 1701)
The Winner of the Contest will be the player who scored the lowest(!) ‘Total Territory Points’ in the Contest.
If there is a tie between two or more players scoring the lowest Total Territory Points, the Winner will be the one who has the most Invited Friends in the ‘Referral’ Contest among these candidates.
In the unlikely event of still having a tie between two or more candidates after taking into account their performance in the ‘Referral’ Contest, the Winner will be selected by a random draw from these candidates.
